MS is the disease of immune system attacking protective membranes covering nerve fibres resulting in poor coordination between brain and other body parts. Signs and symptoms depend on amount of damage and which nerves are affected.

When body’s own cells attack and damage protective covering of nerve fibres, they get exposed and the signal transmission between brain and other body parts gets affected.

Exact causes are not known however genetic factors play a important role in causing the disease.

Signs and symptoms depend on amount of damage and which nerves are affected.

  • Blurred vision or vision loss or double vision
  • Muscle Weakness
  • Difficulty walking
  • Posture imbalance
  • Memory problems
  • Numbness or tingling sensation
  • Slurred speech
  • Sexual dysfunction
  • Uncontrollable bowel and bladder movements

MS is a progressive disease and usually worsens over time. Some people might not experience symptoms at all while for others symptom relapse or gradually worsen over time. If you identify symptoms occur new, reoccur or gradually worsening, it is advisable consult your neurologist.
